You are the “P” in PTO
Studies show that parents who are engaged in their child's education help make a huge difference in that child's success at school. From attending monthly PTO meetings, planning an event, baking brownies for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, and everything in-between, no contribution to our PTO mission is too small. The entire board is made up of parents who work outside of the home and we understand the importance of trying to balance outside demands and limitations on our time. Our goal is to make volunteering and contributions easy, worthwhile, rewarding and fun.

OUR MISSION
The Crossett Brook Middle School (CBMS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents, teachers and staff whose mission is to enrich the lives of children, enhance the educational process, build community, and support an open network of communication between the school and community. We believe that both family and community involvement with CBMS is critical to the educational success of each student.
The CBMS PTO focuses on:
-
• organizing social events to support CBMS community building
-
• fundraising for CBMS team field trips;
-
• providing for discretionary grants to enhance the educational process; and
-
• hosting special events and educational enrichment like Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week and Parent Education Workshops.

• encourage parents and guardians to volunteer at PTO-sponsored events and activities;
• emphasize that any amount of help, just two hours, makes a huge difference in our success; and
• more easily match your time and talent to our needs for volunteer support.
